PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.  BY ACCESSING, OR USING OUR PLATFORM,YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND, ALL THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY (THE “PRIVACY POLICY”).

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which ARL Technologies, Inc. dba Hopps (hereafter also referred to as “Hopps,” “we” and “us”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User” or“you”) of the mobile application (hereinafter “App” or “Application”), the Hopps Website at https://app.hopps.io (hereinafter “Site” or “Website”), and any other affiliate websites or applications related to Hopps (together, collectively the “Platform”).  By accessing the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. 

We reserve the right to make any changes to our privacy policy at any time, notice of which may be posted on this privacy page.

Information Collection

While using this Platform, we may collect personal information that you may provide us. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”).  Personal Information that we collect may include, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, and email address.  We will ask you to provide a username and password. Besides the Personal information, we may also collect other information regarding your activity during your use of the Platform including, but not limited to, session duration, time between sessions, actions taken, log in time, log out time, and other behavioral data (collectively, “Usage Information”). 

When you participate in a live video chat with a subject matter expert via the Platform, we may record the session, including anything featured in your camera’s field of view, which may include any content you available via the session as well as your image, likeness, voice and actions. We record these sessions for quality assurance and quality control purposes. We may also use aggregated and anonymized data from these recorded sessions to improve our products and services and to disclose statistical data that does not identify you.

When you use the Platform, meeting recordings, files, chat logs, and transcripts, and any other information uploaded (collectively, “Customer Content”) while using the Platform are stored by Hopps. 

Additionally, when you sign up for the Platform, you will be required to provide payment information.  We use Stripe, a third party processor, in order to process your payment.  Stripe will collect, use, and process your information, including payment information, in accordance with their privacy policy, which may be accessed via the following link: https://stripe.com/privacy.  Hopps does not collect or store your payment information.     

Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Platform.  This information may include, but is not limited to, the type of mobile computing device, general location, cellular carrier, your computer’s Internet Protocol address (IP address) or other identifier, geo-location, browser type, the web page you were visiting before you came to Hopps, and in-bound tracking, namely, the source (ad, social media channel or blog, search engine) which made you aware of our services.  

Do Not Track Signals from Web Browsers – The Platform is not presently configured to support Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals from web browsers.

How We Use The Information Collected

Personal Information and Usage Information is used to provide our services as well as improve our Platform; to better understand your needs and interests; to personalize your experience; to provide or offer updates and product announcements; and to assist third parties acting on our behalf (described in more detail below). 

The information collected is also used to monitor and analyze use of Hopps and our services, for technical administration, to increase our site’s functionality and improve user experience, to better tailor it to your needs, to generate and derive useful data and information concerning the interests, characteristics and website use behavior of our users.

Hopps may on occasion combine information collected with additional records (such as information from affiliated companies, partners, distributors, or outside vendors, and publicly available information, including on social media sites).  The combined information may be used for purposes such as to market products, features, or services that may be of interest to you, or for research and analytics.

We may create anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data from your personal information and other individuals whose personal information we collect.  We make personal information into anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you.  We may use this anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the Service and promote our business.  

From time to time, we may send newsletters, emails, push notifications, text messages, and/or other communications to provide you with further information and offers from us and our partners that we believe you may find useful or interesting, including newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information on services and products offered by us or third parties that are authorized by us.  You may unsubscribe from such emails by following the instructions or links in the email.  

Should you provide us with a mobile number, you may receive text messages.  If you elect to receive such text messages, your wireless carrier may impose charges for incoming and outgoing text messages.  You may opt out of text messages by following the instructions in the text message.  You may opt out of push notifications by adjusting the settings on your mobile device.  If you opt out of promotional communications, you will still receive transactional messages from Hopps.  


Service Providers, Business Partners and Others

We may share your personal information with third party companies and individuals that facilitate our service, provide services on our behalf, perform website related services (including but not limited to maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of Hopps’s features) or assist us in analyzing how our website and service are used and can be improved. We may also disclose your personal information to professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.  These third parties may have access to your Personal Information or Customer Content only for purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf.

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement

We may use your personal information and disclose it to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims);(b) enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Platform; and (c) protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity.

Business Transfers

In the event of a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, Hopps may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, and yourPersonal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction.  To the maximum extent allowable by law, the Privacy Policy will apply to the user information as transferred to the successor entity.  However, user information submitted after a transfer to a successor entity may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.


Security

You are responsible for safeguarding and preventing unauthorized access to user information and the password You use to access our Platform.  You agree not to disclose your user information and/or password to any third party. You are responsible for any activity using your account, whether or not You authorize that activity.  Please immediately notify Hopps of any unauthorized use of your account.  

Hopps takes the security of your Personal Information seriously. We will employ reasonable measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access and unsolicited contact from third party groups. 


Our Policy Toward Children

Hopps is not directed to nor is it intended for children under 18.  We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (or any information at all) from any persons under 18 years old.  If we become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.  Users of Hopps accept responsibility for ensuring that children are not accessing or using our Platform. 


For Users Outside of the United States Only

The Platform is hosted on servers located in the United States.   If you are a user accessing the Platform from the European Union, Australia, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, you are transferring your personal data to the United States which may not have the same data protection laws as such other regions.  By providing user information through thePlatform you are consenting to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing and maintenance in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.  You are also consenting to the application of United States law in all matters concerning the Platform and any services offered or provided therefrom.



Updates to Privacy Policy

If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post a notice on the website or application notifying users of the changes. In some cases, we also may send an email notifying users of these changes.  You should check this website periodically to see if any recent changes to this Privacy Policy have occurred.
